Exchange Student from Africa Completes One-Semester Study Abroad Program

Two exchange students from Stellenbosch University (South Africa) have successfully completed a one-semester study abroad program at Sophia University and have now returned home.

Although only two months had passed since the project was selected, the students were also able to receive support from the project, enabling them to fully engage in academic and exchange activities. During the semester, the student pursued coursework in their field of study and participated in various on- and off-campus activities, gaining a deeper understanding of Japanese learning environment and culture.

Through interactions with Sophia University students and faculty members, the experience fostered mutual understanding and contributed to the development of a broader global perspective. Sophia University will continue to promote student exchange with partner institutions in Africa and through this project, further enhancing international learning opportunities.
